hah.. guess the double use never crossed my mind since I had it in mind in terms of how it's used with someone obsessive over something.
So no, not trying that else I'd do it with all my posts, wouldn't I? :)
There, I've removed the tags so no one needs worry about being "concerned". Better?
Oh, I most certainly do not comment on everything I come across. Only (well, almost) when I feel I have something constructive to add.. But when I do take on the task of commenting, I do believe in doing it fully. No point just saying, “it’s nice” or “it sucks”..doesn’t help the artist at all does it?
And, if you can’t tell, i could care less about being anything for anyone.

I am more concerned as to why you have tagged the word "anal". Are you looking for a wider audience, maybe a little more diverse?
Maybe the trick is not to feel the need to comment on everything you see, sometimes it is best to just ignore things. You cant be everything to everyone.

'sup Jill!?
Thanks for your kind words, it's really appreciated. Not often someone tells me they like my attitude! ;)
Yeah.. it's kind of what led me to my portrait montage photos. I wanted to see how I could make a very standard photo different someway. I saw something similar and wanted to apply it to portraiture.. and bam, my new "thing" was born.
Let's see what she says once she sees the photos.. you might be surprised. I find women like to see their kids full of life, and your shots sound like they could have captured that. Having said that, she'll probably still want the other "angelic" one for no better reason than that's what people do!
Post a link to the shots you like, and the one she picks in the end.. I'd like to see how this turns out! :)
Thanks!

I really love your attitude and your pictures! I wish the majority of the public (as it seems to me) would stop believing that the boring portrait in front of a boring backdrop is what they need (or should have). What are people so afraid of? Is it a herd mentality that keeps some from wanting to step outside the lines of what they consider right or normal?
I don't like taking "conventional" photos, but people continue to want them. I did a 4 year old boy last week who's mother wanted him to sit still on a stool in front of a blue background and then put his hands together on his face in a cheesy "I'm such an angel" pose.
It was awful. But, after we were done, I crawled after him while he played with his dog and got great shots. His mother will have no interest in these, I'm almost positive. What the heck?!

Yo Wildbird!
Yeah, I get, and agree with all those points. I'm not sure why I can't shake the feeling I have about not liking it.
Maybe I can see the future where at all sporting events you're just going to have some automated towers in the corners and behind the goals with some dude sitting in a booth just pushing a button.
Thanks for the Nederlands support.. I was in a sweltering hot pub with a bunch of pissed-off Dutchies.. I had to make a quick getaway as I didn't want to be there when stuff got broken.. luckily I had the protection of an orange jersey and wig! :)

Think about it, this is the biggest soccer tournament in the world, and lets face it, its 88 minutes of boringness with the ball hardly ever near the back of the goals. Now, there are alot of agencies, newspapers etc all wanting to get a shot like these, and would hardly be a good allocation of resources if they had a photographer sitting up the back of the goals for a shot that may never happen. Also, knowing how whiny alot of the soccer players are, if they miss a shot on goal, they would blame it on movement of a photographer behind the net. Also, there would be no room for everyone who wanted to try and get the shot, so I can see that it is a great example of using technology. And commiserations on Nederlands losing, I even wore clogs to watch the final....

To be honest, I have no clue. Last time I did macro it was with a 50mm lens with an extension tube. I'd check dpreview and perhaps go to DPS and post in on their boards.
Good luck!
