Sadly, Liz's life has pulled her away from The Hague back to her home. But before she left she was determined to get some photos in and around some of her favorite spots around the city with her boyfriend.
I was more than happy to oblige!
I wonder if there's a market for "good bye X photo session" I can tap into!? ;)
One thing I am going to (try to) start doing is sharing a google maps links to the locations I use as locations/backgrounds so you can see what I'm working with and compare it to the final image. So click on the links if interested! I'll also be showing some behind the scenes shots as well as much as possible!
The top image is your standard, but necessary canal shot. Near the Denneweg.
Het Plein HERE
In front of the beautiful Peace Palace, something near and dear to people who do the work Liz does.
Liz was a champ as I dragged her around from location to location, sticking a large umbrella flash in her face in public while trying to make it all look normal and natural... she nailed it. I, on the other hand, was sweating like a pig at a bbq.
Outside the Binnenhof along the Hofvijver
A different angle in front of the hofvijver on Lange Vijverberg
What a difference flash makes in a scene like this. Had I not been using flash in these shots, many of the photos would have ended up looking flat and washed out as the one above!
More Lange Voorhout in front of the Escher Museum
Having some laughs in Het Plein with The Hague's skyline in the background. HERE
Near the Denneweg canal again.
One of my "Portrait Montages" in front of the Escher Museum. Below you can see how I suffer scrambling around on my hands and knees to get your awesome photos haha!
In the Binnenhof HERE.
Well, besides getting some great shots L was happy with and will hopefully remind her of The Hague for a long long time to come, I got to show you a bit of the behind the scenes magic.
